Masala Mingle · The Rooted Edit

Vendor Terms
& Conditions

Effective from Edition 01 · 2026

These terms govern your participation as a vendor at Masala Mingle, produced by The Rooted Edit. By submitting an application and accepting a booth, you agree to the following conditions in full.

01 — Eligibility

Who Can Apply

Masala Mingle is an intentional market curated exclusively for South Asian-founded brands. By submitting an application, you confirm that your brand is founded and primarily led by a person of South Asian descent.

The Rooted Edit reserves the right to verify eligibility and to disqualify any application that does not meet this criteria, at any stage of the process.

02 — Application & Curation

Selection Process

All applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. Acceptance is not guaranteed. The Rooted Edit curates the final vendor lineup based on quality, aesthetic fit, and category diversity.

Submitting an application does not constitute acceptance. You will be notified of your application status within 72 hours of the close date.

The Rooted Edit reserves the right to decline any application or remove any vendor from the lineup at its sole discretion, including for failure to meet brand standards or event guidelines.

03 — Booth Fees & Payment

Deposits & Payments

Upon acceptance, vendors will receive an invoice for the full booth fee. Payment is due within 3 business days of receiving your acceptance notice.

Failure to submit payment within the specified window may result in forfeiture of your accepted spot.

04 — Refund Policy

No Refunds

All booth fees are non-refundable once payment has been submitted. By completing payment, you acknowledge and accept this policy in full.

In the unlikely event that Masala Mingle is cancelled or significantly altered by The Rooted Edit, vendors will be contacted directly with details on credits or future edition options.

05 — Sales & Revenue

Vendor Keeps 100% of Sales

Vendors retain 100% of all revenue generated from sales at their booth. The Rooted Edit does not take a commission or percentage of sales.

Vendors are responsible for their own payment processing equipment, pricing, and any applicable taxes or business obligations related to their sales.

06 — Setup & Event Day

Booth Requirements

Vendors are expected to be set up and ready before the market opens at 10:00 AM. Early access details will be communicated in your event confirmation email.

07 — Brand & Conduct

Standards of Participation

Vendors agree to present their brand professionally and in a manner consistent with the aesthetic and values of Masala Mingle. This includes booth presentation, signage, and conduct toward other vendors, staff, and guests.

Any behaviour deemed disruptive, disrespectful, or inconsistent with the event's ethos may result in immediate removal from the event without refund.

08 — Photography & Promotion

Media & Social Coverage

By participating in Masala Mingle, vendors grant The Rooted Edit a non-exclusive right to photograph, film, and feature their booth, products, and brand name for use in event coverage, social media, and marketing materials.

Vendors will receive a minimum of 3 social media mentions as part of their booth package. The Rooted Edit will tag the vendor's official Instagram handle in all relevant posts.

09 — Liability

Limitation of Liability

Vendors participate at their own risk. The Rooted Edit and Masala Mingle are not responsible for any loss, theft, damage to goods, or injury that occurs during the event.

Vendors are responsible for ensuring their products comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including food safety standards for food vendors.

10 — Changes to These Terms

Updates & Amendments

The Rooted Edit reserves the right to update these terms at any time. Vendors will be notified of any material changes via the email on their application. Continued participation constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
